trust no one!!!

well it was oscar night.... and really... there were no real big suprises like there have been in years past except probably the biggest deal what that Three 6 Mafia won an oscar for "its hard out here for a pimp" from hustle and flow.  whatever!  not my thing.... but reese witherspoon won for best actress for walk the line... yea for her!!!  her and george clooney were the only wons i was really hoping i'd win... and the both did!  george for best supporting actor.. the first award of the night... great way to start the show in my opinion.... and i just love reese witherspoon... bravo to her for playing such an incredible role and doing it soooo well.... you know you've done a good job when john carter cash said she captured his mother perfectly... theres no bigger honor in my book when someone thinks you did a good job 'pretending' to be someone so close to you.... bravo!  sort of disappointed that jouquin phoenix didn't win for best actor though... oh well... he's young... and with all the hype that brokeback mountain has been getting since it came out... and all the emmy's they won i'm actually kind of relieved that they didn't win all 11 of they're nominations.... i believe they only won 3... i don't like that the picture got best director....i think that one should have gone to george clooney for goodnight and good luck... oh well... but of course tomorrow all the buzz at the water coolers all across this great country we live in people will be getting everyone's opinion of how Jon Stewart did....  and heres what i think.... he's no billy crystal.... theres no way anyone will every be able to top what billy crystal does when he hosts the oscars... but at the same time... he's no chris rock.... he really shook things up last year... i think it was a safe decision... even more is that no one knew what to expect from him because he didn't talk about what he was planning on doing.... i think you could feel that the crown was a little uneasy at first but they warmed up to hi sense of humor and his dimenor....all in all... i'd give him a A- or a B+.....  you could tell he was a little nervous in the begining... but bravo to jon stewart.... all in all.... it was a pretty decent weekend.... birthday partys and the oscars.. and on that note... i'm signing off....
